Congratulations to Priscilla Hardy, ACHC Outreach Educator
For receiving the Commissioner’s Distinguished Service Award!

Each year on World AIDS Day, selected individuals from around the state are honored for their work in the field of HIV/AIDS. This year, ACHC Outreach Educator, Priscilla Hardy was honored with the Commissioner’s Distinguished Service Award for the Finger Lakes Region.
Guthrie S. Birkhead, M.D., M.P.H., Deputy Commissioner, Office of Public Health and Humberto Cruz, Director, AIDS Institute presented the award at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center November 27, 2007.
Priscilla has been involved in the HIV/AIDS Community for over 10 years. She is an Outreach Educator at the AIDS Community Health Center; she is a member of the Executive Committee and Co-Chairs the Women’s Committee of the NYSDOH PPG. Priscilla is an active member of the Executive Committee of the Rochester Area Task Force on AIDS, the regional Ryan White Network, and sits on the Board of Directors for Black Men Latino Men Health Crisis, Inc. She is a member of the Collaborative Outreach Team, Rochester Outreach Association, World AIDS Day Committee, Rays of Hope committee and Religious Education Advocacy for Community Health. Priscilla is also a founding member of Project Faith within the Rochester faith community.
Priscilla’s commitment and strength are an inspiration to those of us who know her and a voice for many who never will.
