An Evening of Great Taste raises over $53,000 for medical care and research

AIDS Community Health Center’s annual wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser, An Evening of Great Taste was a great success, raising over $53,000 to fund HIV/AIDS medical care and research. The festivities took place on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the prestigious Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford. Nearly 300 guests had a fine time sampling local wines and beers, enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres, and bidding on over 200 fine auction items, featuring original paintings and craftwork by local artists, sports items, vacation getaways, and themed baskets. Eleven New York State wineries and three local breweries were pouring their finest throughout the evening. As an added treat, scrumptious desserts were provided by local bakeries.
